This month, AgIS Capital hosted a group of local agencies, consultants, and growers on one of our farms in California.
Carl Evers, Director of Sustainability, showcased some creative management strategies that can be used in the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) in California.

There is a huge opportunity to enhance biodiversity and ecological value while reducing groundwater demand in over drafted basins. We were happy to share the common-sense management decisions we have made for our client’s farm that benefit their financial performance, reduce operational risk, reduce groundwater pumping, and create opportunity for wildlife, biodiversity, and soil health.
